My my My my

Spring season is just around the corner and we are excited to get back on the fields!  Registration is open and we are looking forward to the coming scheduling meetings with the other local leagues.  It looks like leagues are opening back up to playing outside of their own AND we are expecting to be able to schedule a nearly normal game schedule this spring for both girls and boys.  There will be COVID considerations and protocols to maintain to ensure the safety of all of our community’s LAX families, but we can’t wait to get out and play a GAME!  Please be sure to register soon so we have an accurate count of players on teams to best schedule games with our fellow leagues!

We want to see lacrosse G-R-O-W in PVA and we need your help!  Please let all of your friends know about our amazing sport and tell them about the cost-savings the leagues has put in place to encourage new players to try it out.

  1. All player registrations for grades K-2 are FREE!!!  The only cost will be for uniforms and the US Lacrosse membership ($30/year).
  2. Player registrations for grades 3 and 4 are greatly reduced ($75 for the spring season).  This age is perfect for trying out lacrosse and we want to make sure we make it as accessible as possible.
  3. Loaner equipment will be available (full sets for boys and girls) for those that may want to try the game out before making the investment in gear.  If you want to participate in the loaner program, just let us know ( ) after you register so we can make sure it is ready for you at the first practice!!!

It is because of our amazing volunteers that we are able to continue to provide this program in Powhatan.  Please consider being part of the Board or our coaching staff.  You don't have to be an expert in lacrosse, only have a passion for the game and for providing a great program to our players.  If you are interested, please contact for more information.

COVID-19 Return to Play Plan and Waiver

Powhatan Lacrosse’s (PowLAX) first priority is the health and safety of all our participants, spectators, staff and attendees. PowLAX will continue to monitor the situation closely throughout the season and make adjustments as necessary based on recommendations from the Centers of Disease Control (CDC) and Virginia Department of Health (VDH).

All parents/guardians of players will be required to sign a waiver prior to participation and everyone at any of our events (practice, game and/or other) must follow the measures listed in the return to play plan.  You can view both of these documents on the documents page or click on the title in the previous sentence to be linked directly.
